I remembered one of my Dale Carnegie Training® classmate shared his incident. He mentioned that he was told to cut his hair (he really has very long hair for a guy) by his superior. He would agree to cut if the person was saying that nicely to him. Yet, it was vice versa, his superior was impolite. Therefore, he would not listen and he said he would stop if he was still being ordered impolitely. His point was: he has long hair, he always finishes his tasks, he never disturbs others with his appearance, he's polite etc. But how was he treated? It even also happened when he was buying food. The owner of the shop thought he was just one of the 'bad guys' because of his appearance. Well, he never doubt, he applied Dale Carnegie 5th principle: Smile. The owner felt uneasy with his own feeling whether how to categorize my classmate. Perhaps, the power of 'SMILE' then. No wonder there were people saying: Never judge a book by its cover.
From my point of view, he is an Animator, a cartoonist and an artist. It's never wrong to has his own style because every artist has unique personality and appearance. Why should we bother? It's for their sake of creativity and idea. Just stop being hypocrite for god sake.
